Sacraments
Baptism
Baptisms are celebrated at the following times:
- 2nd and 4th Sunday at 12:30 pm - Mass in Spanish
- 3rd Weekend at 5:00 pm Saturday, 8 and 10:30 am on Sunday
Please call the Faith Formation office, 473-3143, to set up a Baptism at least 2 weeks in advance. First time parents are required to attend a baptism preparation. Parents are encouraged to become members of St Patrick prior to the birth and Baptism of the child.
First Reconciliation
First Reconciliation is received in 2nd grade or prior to First Communion. Children are prepared during Religious Education class time.
First Communion
First Communion is received in 2nd grade or anytime after the age of reason (age 7). Children must regularly attend Religious Education class prior to receiving the Sacrament. Children must enroll and attend the First Communion class by October 1, 2009 in order to receive First Communion in the spring of 2010.
Confirmation
The youth Confirmation group will prepare for Confirmation beginning in September of 2009 and receive the Sacrament in September of 2010. Youth will attend class, serve in liturgical roles, assist with community service and participate in a Project With Many Returns. Youth must enroll in the class by October 1, 2009.
Marriage
Please contact the Parish office and the priest at least 8 months prior to the date that you would like to get married. Marriage preparation includes meeting with a FOCCUS couple, an Engaged Enrichment Day program and meeting with the priest and liturgist.
Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick takes place on the first Saturday of each month after the 5:00 pm Mass and on two weekends each year within the Mass. Individual anointing is also available as the need arises. Those who are suffering from chronic illness, mental illness, preparing for surgery or undergoing medical treatment are invited to be anointed.
RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is an opportunity for adults to become active members of the Catholic faith. Adults who have not been baptized, received First Communion or been Confirmed are invited to join the group.The group meets from September through May with the sacraments administered on Holy Saturday at the Easter Vigil.
